Oprah Gail Winfrey is an American actress, host, author, and humanitarian born on January 29, 1954, to a war veteran father Vernon Winfrey, and a housemaid mother Vernita Lee. She has three other half-siblings and was raised Christian. Oprah belongs to African-American ethnicity.

Oprah Winfrey is widely famous as the host of her talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show which was known as the highest-rated TV program of its kind in history which aired for 25 years from 1986 till 2011. Oprah was conceived in a poor family and was raised by her single mother.
