Leighton Meester was born on April 9, 1986 in Fort Worth, Texas, U.S. to parents Douglas Meester and Constance Meester. She is a middle child and has an older and younger brother. She was born when her parents were serving their sentence in jail for their involvement in a drug supply from Jamaica to the United States.

She was brought up by her grand parents. After being released from jail her parents took care of her as a normal parents even having a criminal background. However, her parents got divorced in 1992. 

Meester is mainly famous for her role as the devious socialite Blair Waldorf on teen drama television series Gossip Girl. She also has appeared in many films like Country Strong, The Roommate, The Oranges, The Judge and many more.

Over her career, the actress has been involved in several relationships. In 2008 she dated a Romanian actor, Sebastian Stan for a couple of years, and in 2011, she briefly dated an actor Garrett Hedlund. Finally, in 2013 she met Adam Brody and the duo started dating.

Few months after their relationship they decided to get engage in November 2013. The couple secretly got married in 2014 and has a daughter named Arlo Day Brody.
