Ryann Maegen Hoven, widely known as Tess Holliday, is an American model born on July 5, 1985, in Laurel, Mississippi, USA. However, there is no information about her parents but, she has a brother. Her mother left her dad when she was young and her mother's fiance was paralyzed after her fiance shot her twice in the head. She grew up with her grandparents while her mother recovered.
At the age of 15, she auditioned for plus-size modeling in Atlanta, but she was told to be too short and too big for the casting. She then moved to Seattle, where she worked as a makeup artist and hairstylist for several fashion shows. After working for a few years, she moved back to Mississippi and gave birth to her son and again shifted to Los Angeles.
